WELCOME BACK! BE A STAR!

Welcome back everyone to a new school year!

First of all, I'd like to remind everyone that our literacy theme this year is "Be A Star!" Its purpose is to get everyone, staff and students alike, sharing their books! STAR stands for Show, Tell, Advertise, Rave about your favorite books! And we hope you all do! We have challenged our school population to share their books in many ways! One way is to use Shelfari and if you scroll to the bottom of this page you will see what I've been reading and my star rating for each book! Let me know what you think!

Secondly I'd like to remind everyone about the Saskatchewan Willow Awards. Students read books from a given list and vote for their favorite. In spring, once the votes have been counted a winner is chosen from three different age categories. Check out their website for all the details and a summary of each book. Then start reading!
